My first Skate Longboard, what is the best choice?

Hello Longboarders!
If you are starting on sport right now I'll explain the different types of Longboards to you choose the best skate for you!

Basically have four different styles: Cruising, Freestyle, Downhill Slide and Downhill Speed.

Cruising

If you like just to ride on a park, without worrying with tricks, this style is for you. It can be combined with freestyle and dancing, but haven't compromises with nothing. You can choose every type of board, the most beautiful for you, but the more used is "Pintail", like photo, and remember Surf Boards. Why!? Just because is from old school style.
Original Pintail 43
This skate have around 42" inches. For a better result you can use soft wheels to be easily to paddle.

DownhillSlide

Maybe the most famous modality in the world. Basically you will down hills in high speeds making aggressive slides with your hands or knees, but will need specific equipments, like slide gloves, helmet and "knowledge".
Landyachtz Switch 40
Normally the deck is symmetric, doesn't have nose and tail (it's not a rule), and the wheels should be tougher, because can slide more easily, in other words, choose 85A or superior (I'll explain this better in other post).

Freestyle

That is a mix between Skate and Longboard, you can do what you want, like the name said, FreeStyle. Normally used boards 40" or bigger, and wheels between 77 and 84A . It is good to deck if it has kicktails, to make some tricks.

But, if you enjoy dancing (literally to dance with your longboard), just a long board can solve your problems.

Downhill Speed

Sector9 Gauntlet DHD
Yes, how Its own name said SPEED!! Athletes can reach up to 120 km/h in championships. To reach this speed you will need a very hard board, tend to be flat and have long wheelbases to provide for greater stability, without tail and nose to help aerodynamics. In the Downhill Speed you need to have as much stability as possible, because of this, professionals use lowered decks and the base of the truck screwed on top of the board. With this, stay the gravity center more lower on the longboard. Soft wheels is good, they can stick in the ground, but is not advisable to make 90º curves, so that median hardness is very good to who are starting.

My advice is, you can do what you want with any longboard. Don't spend to much money if you are starting now, choose one model that you like and enjoy! Later, you will think to be better, like a professional.
So, now, what is your Style?! If you have any question to do, just send a mensage and maybe I can help.
Thanks!

Note: I haven't any compromises with any brand mentioned here, this post is just to help and pass information.
Don't forget, always use protection equipment!!
